Feedback Poll

Jun 18, 2008 21:10

In the coming months, we'll be working to gather caps for post-14 challenges. This seems like an excellent time to poll all those who participate in the community (makers AND voters) for feedback as to how it's going thus far. beeej and I would appreciate it if you'd take a few minutes and give us some feedback. Thank you!

Major Davis is definitely someone I'd like to see more of, too. I'm thinking that there's sufficient interest to have a "They Also Serve Who But Stand and Wait"** challenge of supporting SGC characters. Paul Davis, Siler, Hammond, Janet, Chevron Guy, Landry, Lam, Warner...there have been some awesome Earth-side characters over the years.

**(I'd have to look up that quote and get it right, of course, since I'm sure I've bungled it a bit.)

And don't forget Colonel Reynolds! 16 episode appearances over six seasons plus a MALP!cam appearance in AoT!

Paul! How could I have forgotten to include Paul in the poll?!? My only excuse is late night and ongoing sinus infection. Coburn would be difficult to include because they gave him so little time onscreen but we could have Camulus and still give a thrill to us Steve Bacic fangirls. Would that compromise work?

I don't think we'll be making voting longer because I think the makers would be even more vocal about losing their time for icon-making, dithering over which icon to enter, and then changing entries. (OK, this is mostly just me but I like to pretend that others are as indecisive as I am.)

But there's nothing written in stone and we can look at the possibility of shifting the schedule so that we have different days for submitting/voting if that's more convenient for participants -- and still works with the mods' schedules. I am willing to be flexible but I don't want to commit to days I'm unsure of, delaying the announcement of voting, results, and new challenges. I think keeping a tight schedule is crucial.

Lots more screen time...and lots more skin! *g* And he has such a pretty sneer. (Not as good as Zippy's but nobody can sneer like Kevin Durand.)

Are there voting days that would be easier for you?
