The Last Icon Maker Is... )
- 2: The left side of the icon seems to just fade to nothingness making the icon seem unbalanced in terms of composition.
+ 2: Good use of mist for negative space and nice composition.
+ 2: (wonderful blending, wonderful contrast)
+ 2: Good use of light and shadow; and still has nice detail.
+ 2: Lovely use of black & white, nice resolution
+ 2: (There's just the perfect balance between the background and the subject matter)
+ 2: I love the position of Daniel against the backdrop of the clouds, it fits really nicely. The contrast isn't too dark either, which is really good.
+ 2: The crop is great and it looks nice that it changes from white in the upper left corner to black in the lower right corner
- 4: Interesting composition but the pastel colors don't compliment the colors of the main image.
- 4: the original Jack image is a bit too blurry and could do with lighter colouring to make it stand out more; maybe align him more to the centre?
- 4: The very pale background and lack of contrast in the chosen cap doesn't work well together I'm afraid.
- 4: (Even though the duplication has been done in an unusual and super creative idea, the subject matter is way too blurry and it lacks in brgihtness and contrast)
- 4: The subject isn't very clear and the resolution isn't great
- 4: (the icon looks washed out)
- 4: Jack just fades into the background too much.
- 4: Dull coloring and background silhouettes could use more contrast.
+ 4: I kind of went back and forth on this... the colors are pleasing, with the shadowy background picking up on the palette of the bust in the foreground in a nicely blended way, but honestly on my laptop I can't even tell who the character is. Also the shadowy heads in the background are almost too washed out to see. The color palette is gorgeous and that's the basis for my choice.
+ 4: good crop; like the use of the "shadow O'Neill's" providing a sunny sky effect.
+ 4: Great colours and I like the shadow in the background, it's a nice idea
