1 and 2. Sam took one before she gave the ring back to Jonas Hansen. It must just have been her growing stress levels affecting her hormones. She was never so relieved as when the result was negative, because she didn’t know what she would have done otherwise. Marriage, abortion and motherhood all seemed equally dreadful at that point in time, with her career and her future balanced on a precipice. The strain of having waited while her mind raced in dizzying circles proved too much and she found herself on her knees next to the toilet bowl, puking up what little she’d managed to eat in the last few days ( ... )

Oh poor Sam. Thank goodness it was negative. Love that the scientist had to confirm her results. *g*

*hugs Daniel* Is it bad that I fantasize about taking in orphan!Daniel and giving him the childhood he should have had? It's almost as appealing to me as my fantasies about grown!Daniel. Almost. ;)
