1) About five minutes after their arrival, which was something else considering the unbelievable high he was getting from Atlantis herself. But at the five minute mark he'd managed to piss off Sumner once more, plus it looked like Elizabeth was not above using him to establish her dominance over Sumner. That was going to get real old, real soon

I really like #3! The consequences of that episode are something that was never really addressed on the show--couldn't be, given the type of show it was--but I love seeing it done elsewhere. And #2, with all the pressure that Sheppard was under knowing he couldn't really be replaced. Fantastic!

This is true! The best shows for fanfic are often the ones that are a little flawed, or with obvious gaps.
