Re: Five ways Daniel could tell that Jack loves him by stagnation13 Rated PG-13chattycatsmeowDecember 22 2009, 00:39:57 UTC
I like that you did this the other way around! I think there is so much love in #4 - care and concern and thinking of his partner's needs is perfectly Daniel.
1. He's not much with words, it's the deeds that convince Daniel. Like the Starbucks cup that he often finds on his desk when he comes home late. Granted he usually has to warm it up in the microwave but it is the thought that counts.
2. How deathly pale Jack was when he made it to the bottom of the alien staircase and found Daniel stunned, embarrassed but unhurt.
3. That he started buying crunchy peanut butter instead of creamy.
4. That the driver #2 setting in his truck was set for Daniel.
5. By the way he looks at Daniel, quirks his brow and lets the warmth flood his eyes. There's something about that look that makes Daniel feel like a sixteen-year-old in the throes of a first crush.
So much yes in this - it's all the little things like the coffee and the driver #2 settings that let Daniel know he is always at the forefront of Jack's mind.
