1. His parents. Momma just patted his hand and said, "We've known for years. We were just afraid you wouldn't find anyone until after you retired."
Daddy passed Cam the sugar for his coffee and said, "So when do we meet the lucky fella?"
Cam just looked at his parents in shock, positive that he must have slipped into another reality. "Soon, I hope you don't mind tattoos. How did you know?"
They looked at each other. "Vala, son," his dad answered.
"Vala?!" Shock over their answer doesn't begin to cover it.
Momma didn't even blush as she said, "Yes, Cameron. We were starting to have our doubts but when the two of you came for your reunion and you didn't so much as look at her when it came time for bed, well

1. His parents
Cam's faced Ori Priors, Sodan warriors, six-foot tall three-legged chickens, and days he was sure he wasn't going to survive. None of those things required quite as much courage as picking up the phone, five days after the repeal of DADT, to come out to his parents.
Cam sort of assumed that if his parents didn't already suspect (and how could they not, when he was past forty and still single?), asking to speak to both of them simultaneously less than a week after the new policy came into effect would be a sure tip-off. It turns out, however, that his parents hadn't really been paying that much attention to the timing of the policy and certainly hadn't thought it would apply to him. The conversation begins with shocked silence on the other end of the phone, progresses through questions of whether he's sure, and what about the various women he's brought home over the years?, and ends with shaky reassurances that they love him

I liked these a lot. As much as I love the family created over at clanmitchell, it does seem very plausible that Cam's parents would not be very happy given their age and their background. The one with McKay is hilarious, too.

Thank you.
And yes, I agree--I love the idea of Cam's parents being instantly and totally accepting (and maybe suspecting all along), and I don't think it's impossible, but I also think it's plausible that they'd be a little upset about the whole thing. (However, I firmly believe that they'll come around after they've had a few months to get used to the idea.)

1. General O’Neill. The man that gave him the job with SG-1. The man that tricked him into leading SG-1. The man who shaped SG-1 into the strange, screwed-up force for good in the universe with whom it’s Cam’s honor to serve. Cam thinks the General has a right to know; no, scratch that. O’Neill has a right to be told. Cam doesn’t doubt that he already knows2. Sam. Like she hasn’t had him figured out for years. He’s really looking forward to having a long sit-down with her over a few beers, and maybe a shot of tequila or two, and giving her the scoop on Cam Mitchell’s Love Life. Because until they’d hooked up again at the SGC, for years every phone call, email and letter had included that phrase. “How’s Cam Mitchell’s Love Life?” “Give me all the scoop on Cam Mitchell’s Love Life.” Even in a phone call the capital letters were clearly audible. Finally, he can answer truthfully

I really like the distinction you have Cam make between people knowing and people being told. And I love the hints at the friendship between Cam and Sam, and his interpretation of Woolsey, which is both hilarious and believable.

Thank you! I wish canon had given us a little bit more about Cam and Sam, but otoh, it's not such a bad thing that we can make up absolutely anything we like!

This is a great approach, and now I'm thinking of changing the prompt to six just to see who you'd put Cam in a relationship with.

And, yeah, Daniel's very observant, but unless you're an alien or you died a few thousand years ago, he's not really all that interested in people.

Ahahahaha!!! Love it :D
Love all of these, but I particuarly like #3 because it has so much potential. Landry is the wild card of your 5, and I just find that interesting.
