I like that it gives us insight into two characters at the same time. Yes, the others in the set do the same to some degree, but this one shows a great deal about Jonas -
- that he was well aware Jack didn't like him, - that he was actively trying to find a way to connect with Jack, - that he was essentially studying Jack in a deliberate attempt to find that connection, and - that he was willing to mold his behavior on earth in such a way as to accomplish his goal.

I like exploring how you can say a lot with a few words with the 5 Things exercises,
To me that's the best part of the following this format - taking up the challenge to distill the meaning into a few words that are no less powerful. In many ways it is easier to write a regular style fic than to write a five things, which is essentially a set of drabbles. Those few well-chosen words can have a far greater impact because of their sparseness.
