1 He picked up Cassandra Fraiser after school and took her and her best friend to the mall. Bought them ice-cream and listened to their chatter about boys and teachers. It was not unpleasant and he felt warm inside when she gave him a hug and said “Thanks, uncle T!” He’s never been a father in the tau’ri way. Jaffa do things differently and Rya’c is a world away from him now ( ... )

One thing Teal'c did during the time loops that he never told anyone - not even O'Neill, who at the time was busy learning how to do pottery - was that he watched something called "Soap Operas" on television. He did not quite grasp why there was neither soap nor singing involved, but he had a strange compunction to find out what happened to the people after SG-1 stopped Malachi and the time loops ( ... )

1. Teal’c had been on Earth for four years, four long years in which he had to fight to learn everything about a people who, more often than not, shied away from the most straight forward of questions. The time looping in which he and O’Neill had found themselves, however, had awarded Teal’c the extremely fortuitous opportunity to ask all the questions his poor culturally confused brain could think off, all of which could be answered frankly in light of the fact that there was no way anyone could be held accountable for their answers ( ... )

Teal'c always seems so protective of his ice cream, I just couldn't pass up a chance to have some fun.

As for Janet, it always upset me that they didn't explore the friendship between them more on the show.
