so yeah, we just had another tournament this past weekend. on friday, we played a fantastically fantastic game! we were all so together, working together and thinking as a team. we had THREE double plays (one, might i mention, we thanks to yours truely! :P) and the others involved kim being an awesome left fielder. but yeah, needless to say, we were all very happy and looking forward to the next day. and then on sat morning we had an 11:30 game, which we played okay, but it certainly wasnt our best... we lost. and then we played at 6:30 that night. now, let me tell you, people who know me know that i dont get pumped or hyper very often, but on friday night for that game i was just so pumped and ready to win that game, it was crazy. and then sat night was the same thing. the morning game, well, i wasnt so pumped, but right before the game started, oh my goodness, i just began jumping around, ready to kick so MA ass! and then, in the bottom of the second inning, i was first up to bat. it was my third swing, and it waskind of in the strike zone, so i swung. well, as i was swinging, my bat hit the very bottom the ball which brought it right up into my face. i put my hand up right away. oh my goodness, let me tell you, if you dont like blood, it was a good thing you werent there. it was just gushing out of my nose. the only thing i really remember is being told to sit down, meg lane coming over with a cloth to up to my nose instead of my glove, which was, by that time, soaked through. and i remember her taking off my helmet and my glove, and then handing me some ice. i dont really remember much, but what i remember thinking the first moment after i was hit, was shit, i dont get to finish the game! i was so pissed! but i was good mood, considering the circumstances, just ask meg. i was like, this sucks! and she got my laughing about something, i dont really remember. but i was able to get up by myself, walk off the field to leave for the hospital, but as i was walking the ump was like, alex, dust off your butt. well, he didnt actually say that, he made the action of doing that, but i was like, that is the least of my problems right now! but i did it anyway...but i was so pissed off! i wanted to play that game so bad. i was back to playing first, because they earlier game i was in left and jo played first, but i happy to be back in the infield. they ended up losing though...but when i got to the hospital, i was a sight. my uniform was covered with blood, it had soaked through to my sliding shorts, and it was on my slider and socks...but yeah, at the hospital we found out what we pretty much already knew- my nose was broken. needless to say, it was a long day/night... and then next day i was like, i want to go to thier game, because there was no way i was going to sit at home. so i went, and cheered them on, kept them upbeat for the most part, or at least tried to- every time i yelled my nse would start bleeding. not badly, but still...but i had a good time. coach said that he was proud of me to be there, and was happy i was. but yeah, i was so mad about having to sit on that bench and not play- i was getting so frustrated! but, i have an appointment on thursday, and if everything is healing alright, and we are able to find a mask for my helmet, i might be able to play this weekend! i'm so excited! but watch, i'll get my hopes up and then i wont be able to play...i'm just hoping i'll be back for the last tournament. i love my softball girls and the game too much to sit out for the rest of the season, and there's no way i'm going to do that.

PS- if any of my girls read this, we need to have another sleep over! we can even have it here again! (which was a surprise to me, coming from my mother's mouth... :P) but we definitely need to plan it!
