On Thursday, while the hubby and I were flying from San Francisco to Seattle to visit friends, I was watching "Hardball with Chris Matthews" on Virgin America's Dish Network onboard link when a big red breaking news banner graced the screen with a bulletin that a county clerk in Wisconsin had discovered a "clerical error" in the tabulation for the Wisconsin Supreme Court election which overturned the results. The clerk is a former employee of the candidate who benefitted from the discovery of said "error". Hmmm??? Shades of Katherine Harris and the 2000 presidential election??? I don't know. But this surely doesn't pass the smell test to me. Needless to say, it got my mini-vacation off to an unceremoniously BAD start. My only consolation was this informative post from the Daily Kos that seems say that there is a silver lining in this dark cloud.
