I lower myself down on the ice carefully. I've never been in a rink before. My socks seem to be thick enough to stand the cold without shoes. And I feel more stable in socks than skates. She encourages me, telling me to have confidence in myself.
I find a puck and start taking shots at the targets. She guides me.
Then I run into her, we fall down, and make out on the center line. I look over. Noticing that we're a little off the line, I slide us over until we're even center.
