Goings On......
Hey....Hope everyone is doing well.....What can I say, I'm enjoying this cooler weather. I love bringing out the sweaters, setting up the fall decorations with Sophie and Milo, and finally being able to cool all of those yummy stews, and hearty fall/winter meals. Yay!
Nothing much is going on here....last week Adam and I really sat down and cranked out all of the numbers for our budget/debt. We pretty much knew everything, but we wanted to get it down to the last penny. It was nice to be able to see where we need to start fine tuning for our future investments. And overall a lot of stress was taken off our backs once we sat down and worked through everything.
This weekend we're taking the kids to the pumpkin patch! I'm super excited! This is really the first year they've gone, that they'll both have tons of fun. Plus we've got a really cool farm we're going to. I am kinda peeved at someone though. I asked my mom if my mom, dad, and brother, would like to go with us (because Sophie begged me to ask them too). And my mom said they'd play it by ear (because my sister is going to be in town). I mean why can't my sister and Max come too? I thought they would want to go have fun picking out pumpkins, going through corn mazes, and going to petting zoos with their grandkids.....whatever. Plus, my dad is the best pumpkin carver around, and I have to pull his leg every year just to get him to help the kids. But then he loves it once he does it! He always tells me, "Eventually you're going to have to start a tradition of your own." Fuck that! My kids are young now, shouldn't he be enjoying them while they're still at this age? Plus, my dad is older than most parents, I'm doing this for him too.....it just pisses me off......I guess I'm just tired of trying to MAKE my parents be the grandparents they should be, and I don't feel that's my responsibility. They promised they would never be that way (like my grandparents), and that's exactly how they're acting.....
Anyway, I should get going......I have to go pick up Sophie from school here.......don't mind my rant, I'm just a little pissed.
