The "Drives her children a little nuts" part I can relate to :)
With my grandfather, we eventually quit trying to get him to stop smoking. I guess there comes a point when the benefits don't outweigh the hassle. He made it to his late 80s with very few health problems. Some people have all the luck.
I've long given up. However, the ER nurses, her new cardiologist, the Nurse Practictioners have all reinforced the immediate benefit of it, so I've tried again to no avail. What can you say.
The odd thing is. The "alcoholic", my Dad, has turned his life around when he was about to kill himself from drinking. I've secretly hoped for this type of turn around with Mom.
Yeah Honey, it's a downer. But, I've seen some friends post some poetic-type thoughts and experiences recently and since my Mom's health has been on my mind so much lately, I thought I'd try my hand. It's more a simple list of life experiences, but it was worth writing.
