Sweet Story

My husband was sitting in the living room today, and told the kids this cute little story.  It went something like this.
"One Christmas, when I was about your age (refering to my son who is eight), Santa left us a small, straight candy cane in our stockings.  It didn't have a curve, it was just a straight red and white stick.  Well, my sister and I decided to plant the little candy cane and see if it would grow into a tree.  Well, it did, and now we have  a candy cane tree in the back yard.  Every year, on Christmas Eve, the candy cane tree grows candy canes that you can pick and eat.  If you kids want, we'll see about finding the candy cane tree on Christmas Eve."
Jess went out after that, and found a small tree with low hanging limbs.  He's planning on buying a package of candy canes and hanging them on the tree Christmas Eve so the kids can pick candy canes off the candy cane tree.
It's things like that that help me remember why I feel in love with the guy in the first place.  He's such a sweet heart.
