Car trouble

Feb 03, 2006 08:28

I'm in to work early this morning because I have to prepare some machines for some demonstrative programming we're going to do today. I was driving along in the pouring rain, which is quite unsual for February. See, there's supposed to be snow right now.

Anyway, I pulled into a parking lot and parked the car. As I opened the door, I realised that I was a bit far from the curb, so I shifted to pull forward and park again. This is when the engine started squealing.

"Uh oh," I thought, as smoke poured out of the front. I turned off the car, popped the hood, and looked under it. Oh dear, the fan belt's snapped.

So I gave up and went inside the office. It looks like I can't park, but I'm not going to push the car into the right place; it's really heavy.
