Last night, I went to swestrup's birthday dinner at Mazurka. A good fourteen people showed up, and a good time was had by all. There was a large room in the back that I hadn't noticed before, so there was plenty of room for us.

For starters, we had pickled herring and a potato salad. Then I had their "meat plate" which consisted of a fried potato pancake, a cabbage roll, two pierogies, sausage. They had a very delicious beet salad and their cabbage rolls were quite tasty. Everything else was done well, but was not particularly exceptional. The portions are very large for a very reasonable dinner price, especially considering that this is a place on Prince-Arthur.

After a very filling dinner and some incredibly vibrant conversation, I invited cpirate and joenotcharles over to my place. There, Joe pulled out a game of Gloom, which is apparently based on the macabre drawings of Edward Gorey. Peter mentioned that he needed to pick up some more of his art, after winning quite spectacularly. Although I played strategically, I happened to be quite the loser.

Tomorrow, I must wake up early to go shopping. It will be a full day of walking around trying not to buy things.
