Random crankiness...

I feel like, once in a while, it'd be interesting to have turrets... and be able to blurt stuff out without much reprocussion... like "STFU!" or "Control Freak!" or many other appropriate but not socially acceptable comments.

When I worked at the hardware store a guy who was a regular costumer did have turrets. It was interesting and I was apparently the only person who figured it out. This guy had been shopping there for years, too!

Not to be a spelling nazi, but I was kind of confused for a minute there until I realized you meant the syndrome and not the things you find on a castle.

Well, what you spelled is actually a word and I got all hung up on that instead of quickly making the connection and figuring out what you meant like Elinor did. Apparently I really needed to see "syndrome" on the end to think Tourette's. And I know this sounds like I'm picking on you, but I'm actually kind of disappointed with myself that my thinking wasn't flexible enough to pick it up.

See, and this is me being all silly and spelling phonetically. Not a problem... tend to get my hackles up when I see really bad misspellings and such. But doesn't mean I"m above it. :)

It's just a interesting little bit of cultural anthropology. I must have read it somewhere before I heard the word, therefore that's what stuck for me. Interesting how our brains work sometimes.

Yeah... and my brain can be scary sometimes the way it works ;)

Turrets are part of castles. That was what leapt to my mind too.
