Sfida: 2006 in Review

Dec 26, 2006 23:54

Not much of a review, really, in that I didn't end up putting in a huge amount of what happened this semester. Most of what goes in here is just what I think is interesting, or what happens to piss me off. It is not a microcosm of my life. But I don't think I ever intended it to be.

January:There is a little fact that is key to understanding evidence I present here in an argument: I loathe country music.
February:Mitsu's here.
March:Ok, so, I'm not a paid member, so I can't do polls and whatnot.
April:Ugh.
May:Standing outside the computer lab, Chocolate Pocky in hand (because eating in the computer labs is a mortal sin), I noticed a very odd warning on the fire alarm: "BREAK ASS".
June:So, back home from my cousin Tina's wedding.
July:Back when we were in Sendai, a group of us were having one of many conversations about language, and Lane said that apparently, kitsch is considered the hardest word to translate into Japanese.
August:Haven't been posting much as I've started working, and I'm finding it extremely challenging.
September:Is this car made for lovin', or what?
October:My laptop is biting it.
November:This only happened two minutes ago, but honestly, I can't remember what precipitated this...
December
[girl 1]: "Um, Sfida, have you ever heard of Australian kissing?"
