Have moved back to Austin, and to reliable 'net access. Still moving stuff so, quick update:

ETA: For the sake of clarity, there was some girl moving in; her parents were helping her. Girl and (presumably step-) mother were arguing like you wouldn't believe. Stepmother sounded like she could've been Vietnamese. As I was unloading my car, I saw the mother in the lobby talking to our manager. I didn't stop to eavesdrop, but did hear in passing that she felt like she couldn't trust her daughter anymore.
