Chapter 7 - a bit of curiosity couldn’t hurt anyone.
“We will be in the same school that we attended earlier. He said it’s ok. And Akanishi-san will help us we tuition fees. But we are requested to go home right after the lessons and in your case after club activities end.”
Kazuya couldn’t believe it. There surely would be some catch. And the look on his brother’s face wasn’t pleased one at all.
“About our apartment. It’s gone, so we can’t go back there”
Kame nodded slightly looking at his hands. It was expected somehow, that the burglars totally destroyed it. “And what do they want from us?” - he asked, awaiting request for some work in return. Sagashibito’s kind of work.
“Nothing. At least for now” - muttered Koki through clenched teeth, sitting on the wide windowsill hugging one leg and mindlessly swinging another. “We just need to be here, that will satisfy them”.
That surely was new.
“I don’t believe you.” - Kame wasn’t an innocent child. “If they want nothing from me, then where has to be something they asked from you”. Kame watched closely for his brother’s reaction. “I knew it! Don’t hide it from me. Ko-chan!”
Koki sighed. “You know that I can’t hide from you anything, bro-chan.” He sighed again. “The old stinker hinted that I should study hard. And become good CEO in the future. The CEO in Akanishis’ Enterprise”
Kazuya was dumbfounded. “What do you mean CEO? He has a son, right? Capable and adult, what more?!”
“His son is an idiot, totally untrustworthy, lazy etc, he’s like scared kitten in all that concerned pharmacy world.” - explained Joker, sighing again. “He doesn’t know what aspirin needed for, for crying out loud is!” He looked out of the window, watching some random cars streaming the road. He’d gladly get into on of those vehicles, just to get out of here. Just he can’t. They can’t.
“So he wants you. Because you are great in studying, swift in moving around and smooth in deceiving people, right?” - Kame felt like crying. He didn’t want this. It was like some kind of nightmare, there someone took his brother away for good, and he… he is back in the University.
“He said that he needs to see, if I’m capable for this. So they would let us be till graduation… And then either he will adopt me, to be his successor, either he’ll let us go…”
“I don’t believe in this shit” - firmly said younger boy. “We better get out of here and soon”.
“Yeah, get out of here and now” - said deep angry voice from the door. Both boys looked there and saw young man with wild hairstyle, he was clad into dark blue ripped jeans and t-shirt with bright red necktie. “You are not needed here, thieves. Maybe I’m not trustworthy and an idiot, how you’ve kindly pointed it, but I don’t steal peoples’ precious things.”
“Akanishi Junior, it seems. I heard that you are impolite too. So it’s true. Civil ones wouldn’t eavesdrop on people having private family chat. What do you want?” - Koki smirked, having no desire to spend his charm on some rude dork.
“As I said, you can beat it right now!” - snarled man standing near the door. “I won’t let you steal my father’s money too. You already stole my precious thing! You wouldn’t make it any further!”
“Aww, looks like baby would cry now!” - Kame made a fake cooing.
“And what are you? Seven? Be a man at last. Your own daddy doesn’t want you. He would rather hire some tramps…” - Koki smirked, but was suddenly interrupted by his brother’s voice.
“Hey, we are not tramps! Get that back now!” - Kame was so angry that even his ears became red.
“That’s not the point, Kame. Why do you-”
“I’m not a tramp! And I’m not a girl! You always give me some image that I don’t want!”
“Yes, you are not a girl. You are stubborn turtle. And this is why we stuck here!”
“And you always do things your way. You never ask for my opinion, always so high and mighty”
Brothers’ battle blazed up in a second, and they forgot about everything, not minding young man who stood before them awestruck. For him it looked like they would end up fist fighting any second now, but after minutes of shouting… it all pacified, leaving in its wake two trembling guys.
“Ok, I’m sorry, Ka-kun. Let’s not fight over this anymore, ok?” Like always, Koki was the first one to apologize. But he was really worried for his little brother. “How are you feeling? Anywhere hurts?”
“I’m fine. Tired a little bit, but fine. Let’s get over this. I won’t need to wear girl’s stuff after all, so it’s okay…”
“Actually, as I said, we are staying in our old school. So it would be weird if you suddenly appear as a boy”
Kame huffed. “But didn’t you say that we’ll move away?”
“I’d like to. Honestly, Ka-kun. But now it’s nearly impossible” - Koki moved to the bed to hug his brother. That’s then he actually remembered that they have an audience.
“Oyaji wants to see you again”- said Jin. He was tired already of all this nonsence. It was already bad, that his father endlessly reminded him that he doesn’t see him as an inheritor. But now even these dirty brats, going to rub it in his face. “But I’d still prefer that you get out of here and never showed your ugly face anymore”.
In reply to that were two silent glares.
“I need to go, Ka-kun” - quietly said older of the brothers. “Try to get rest, okay?” Kame simply nodded, watching as Koki exited the room.
“Did you forget something” - pointedly asked Kame then his brother leaved. Jin simply shook his head and leaved as well.
