Question on: job for a new grad in medical field

Jun 22, 2010 23:13

Dear SF-BayArea_ru,
especially medical professionals,

I am a new graduate of medical program. I am still waiting for my official transcripts from college, (as it is a community college, it can take several weeks to receive official grades from them), hence, still don't have access to results of my licensure exams (hopefully, I passed).

On one hand, I need to apply to open positions the sooner the better (bc other colleges in the area are graduating soon, and there will be more jobseakers on the market).
On the other hand, when the market is tight (as it is now) it is better to apply when you already have all the official papers.

My goal is to find the job at a hospital, the sooner the better, salary doesn't matter much, distance to travel - up to 40 miles. My profession is Respiratory Therapy.

My question:
What is the best strategy for me to apply?

(One more questions:
What are the ways to find out open positions in hospitals?)

Thanks a lot!
