A Gryffindor and a SlytherinAuthor:
furiosityPairing: Draco/Harry, Blaise/Zacharias, Blaise/Draco
Rating: R
Summary: The second war against Voldemort has begun. One sunny September afternoon, Draco Malfoy overhears Harry Potter confess something deeply personal. Does that change anything? HP/DM, DM/other, contains more plot than slash. Pre-HBP.
Claire's Notes: This isn't necessarily a Drarry story. This is about Draco Malfoy and how the various relationships he has formed have effected him. This is about being a Slytherin.
There are certain elements that I liked. Like how Harry isn't the sole focus and they continue to fight despite their ever-evolving relationship.
On the other hand, there are several things I was not happy with. The death of Draco's parents was a cheap way of avoiding the homosexuality in the pureblooded society issue. Harry's hesitancy to "come out of the closet" to his male friends was never addressed. Also, Draco's feelings are mostly reflected as self observations in his diary.
It's a decent story plotwise, but it lacks the emotional depth to be considered a classic.
