Wow, it's been a while since I've updated my journal. Well let's see, I have a rant, some news, more ranting and...a few accomplishments.
I'll start with the ranting...
So I've just heard about the finale and what can I say, it's nothing I'm eager to see. After such a dissappointing season, I don't think I'm going to bother much with buying the season 2 DVD box set, or even watch season 3. I might see what the premiere has in stall for us, but besides that, I doubt I'll be a OTH fan for much longer. I'm going to finish up my one and only OTH fanfiction then see how it goes. It's just so hard writing a couple that went from being to much in love to being non-existant. Knowing that neither are willing to fight for what they had really puts a damper on your perception of them. *Sigh* I really believe that season 3 is seriously going to have a huge dent in way of ratings. Expecially after a certain comment on fanforum about fans who are critical of the show being 'not true fans', I don't think Mark is everyone's favourite person right now either. Hey Mark, it's the critical eye that makes fans true fans, those who notice things more than others are true fans, those who notice a complete 180 of there favourite character are true fans. Grrr.
Now onto some news, I've been selected to help organise the Bathurst 'Rock Estedford' Reginals and will be out of town from Sunday night until Wednesday without intenet access. The RE is basically an event where one group from every school (Junior and Senior) in NSW competes to win money for there school. They have to perform a dance/music/drama routine and genrally the whole school is involved. If you're school wins, the school gets a ton of money.
So a few weeks ago I put in my application to help organise because it's great work experience for the course I'm doing at TAFE and they only elect 12 people. So naturally I didn't think I had a chance seeing as over 100 people applied, but I recieved a call on Thrusday telling me that I made it. Not much notice but my boss said I could go seeing how excited I was about being chosen. They said it was because of all the past experience i've had organising events. I'm so excited. I can't wait.
Other news, my birthday is in ... 11 days (June 9th) and I have the bestest friend ever. She called me on Friday and was like..."How much do you love me?" I asked why and she replied with "How much do you love Seether?" To which I replied with "So much, hello, did you not know they are my favourite band?" Then she said "So how much would you love me if I told you I've got you tickets to see Seether for your Birthday when they tour Australia in July?"
Yep, I just about fell to the floor in shock and complete and utter happiness. Since she told me at work, I think my boss is convinced I'm certifiable. I was jumping around like a spaz on speed. I had no idea Seether were even touring and then here my best friend it, buying me tickets to go see them live. I soooo cannot wait until July gets here.
What else is there, oh yes, my accomplishments. Well, Diane and I finally finished our joint contribution to the fic exchange over at CiD, man that took forever but I'm proud of what we've done. It was a good effort and I'm just so thankful that I got to collaborate with a great writer such as Diane. We got on well and this fic is testiment to that. Yay us.
Now I'm off to pack...and watch a little season 1 OTH, at least back then it was good, pure and untainted. Yes Mark/WB, that was a dig at season 2. :)
