Hehehe, I bet Dean's wishing he hadn't asked me that.
We went to Pinnacle last night and paid up for an hour on lane 25. It wasn't really too crowded when we started, so no waiting on next-laners.(it's impolite to bowl when someone next to you is on their approach :P) Which was good. Aaaanyway, we SUCK so bad! We just laughed and laughed at ourselves. On average we had about a 60 for the first few games, Dean kept beating me by a few points. Our hour was almost up and he asks me if I want to get another one.
Okay, so when D asks me stuff like that, it means he's interested too, so I said sure. They moved us down a few lanes in case we wanted to add more time, and we started again. I think we got in 3 games that last hour. Our average went up a bit, to around 70/80, and we managed to re-figure out how to bowl a bit better. Finally, I beat him with a 104, whee. We had tons of fun, and we're considering taking it up weekly/biweekly. Of course, we'd have to buy our own ball(ugh, and shoes) and have them drilled. House balls blow. A lot. I'm considering a Columbia White Dot. D, of course, wants a hook ball; I'm going to try to suggest he get a Brunswick.
The only downside to the 2 hour bowling was today. We're soooooooooo sore. Bad sore. We're not like, rock-climbers or anything, and mostly exercise via walking. My left butt cheek wishes I were dead. :) Though, most of the soreness is coming from being so still during the night. Hehe, at least I have a chiro visit in a couple of hours. Mmm, massage table.
However, I'm anticipating our next trip, maybe Kris will go with us and she can abuse the lane like a good new bowler-kid.
