As of 3:20pm today I am officially free! ie. that was when my French interview finished. I'm not sure what to make of my interviews this year. I felt Spanish was ok but no more, the written test was just plain weird (it was about monkeys being able to paint and what this says about artisitic expression and the relationship between humans and monkeys) and the French one was quite good. But then supposedly if you feel it went well that means it didn't so I'm just going to not draw any conclusions and see what happens in a month's time.
But I'm very happy that it's over. I sat and watched tv this evening! And I'm about to go and watch Green Wing, what bliss! However 'free' is a slight exaggeration as I now have to make a list of all the things I've been putting off for months with the excuse that interviews were more important. But relatively free anyway, it's going to be a good Christmas!
I'm sooo looking forward to the imminent arrival of various friends back it Chelters. I think Queenie came back today so I may see her tomorrow. I can't wait, I've missed everyone so much. To those who won't be back in Cheltenham, I miss you loads as well and will hopefully be able to come see you at uni in Janury or February as I'm now probably not going anywhere until 23rd February.
There was a veeeery nice surprise waiting for me on UCAS when I came home (as I've already textually shouted to Alison!); I have an offer from St Andrews!!!!! Very unexpected considering how long they took last year and how much I messed them about. So that's my second choice and I would be very happy to go there so I'm ok with whatever Cambridge say although obviously It'd be great to get an offer... My feeling of specialness at having an offer from them was only slightly diminished when I logged on to TSR and found that many other people had just got language offers from St Andrews as well so they're obviously a lot more organised this year and just did a big batch.
So tomorrow I'm to the Peak District for expedition training and doubtless many shenanigans such as the Chinese whispers described earlier. I will duly report on them on Sunday/Monday. I think I may have to stock up on outdoor gear at Trespass before I go! It's so useful working there actually.
Think that's all for now.
Big hugs to Sarf.
