Plastic Dinosaur
Hagh! Still getting used to my new schedule (ie. being forced to go to bed at a decent hour... which isn't happening!)
No sketches this time, because I simply haven't had time :f (and starting to go slightly crazy from it!)
Older Warcraft commission finished in Jan/February, Tier 5 Rogue pauldrons:
And finished up the second Warcraft armor commission yesterday, Tier 6 Hunter Spaulders this time:
Fiberglass/resin construction for the main bits, in case anyone cares about that sort of thing. Also, -30C weather+fiberglass = not cool. I never remember to account for the weather before I agree to these things...
Forgot to take pictures after I put the gloss on the eyeballs :/. And why do my arms look so fat lol! *jiggle*
Too bad(?) the T6 are Blood Elf sized, and not Orc sized! Those would have been hilariously awesome and massive to make (and try to get through doors).
In other news, I started my summer (and hopefully beyond) job a few weeks ago. My job title is now Slave Carver for Crazy Props!
Actually, my company is super awesome and all the staff are really nice and cheery. People kept going out of their way to help me and show me tricks of the trade when I was starting so I felt really welcomed. It's starting to get cozy, although I'm still a bit of a clam and don't talk much. I-I-I'm not antisocial, really! Everyone is incredibly talented and we all get respected as artists so it's a nice environment.
I always worry that I'm working too slowly, but I haven't been fired yet so maybe I still have hope....

Octopus+treasure chest prop I worked on for a bit. We have more urgent projects, so it's on the back burner right now.
My first solo prop hurhur. It's a Pirate skeleton that is Hard to See. There's a wooden blade for the scimitar that I didn't have in for the picture, and I didn't get to see him after he was sprayed+painted D:. Oh well!
Pteranodon!!!! They let me do two pteros about a week in! Pteranodon and Stegosaurus were my favorite dinos as a kid so I was excited. The only thing that bugs me was the concept art I had to follow for the wings... they were very anatomically incorrect! Same with the massive scales :I.
#1 finished up! His name is Rudy.
His bum. And those silly feet.
And sprayed+painted! I'm pretty sure he's a blacklight prop so that's why he's in funky colors.
Currently working on "Lester the Molester", with the Buster Brown stare. fukuniji requested pics, so maybe next time!
Nnnnf, I still really love my old boss from last year's summer job though :<. Gonna try to keep volunteering there on Saturdays at least! (I..I still haven't told her I have a job for the summer now and they're sort of expecting that I'll work at their place again....urggh ;_;)
