It's her thing. It's ALWAYS been her thing. It's why many people don't like her and many others do. She's not smiley and she doesn't pretend she's happy when she's not, which really rubs a lot of people the wrong way (perhaps understandably. I mean, she IS a popstar).

True. I mean, I admire her honesty (kinda, lol) but it's like... her life could be worse. She is a total "Debbie Downer" and "Negative Nancy" and I just don't understand why. I like her when she's fun and smiley, but I guess I'll look to the other girls for that since we aren't getting it from her lol

Seriously, it would suck so hard being with 4 girls who were considered to be among the "most beautiful girls in the country" and to be labeled "the ugly one" by nearly everyone and constantly made of fun of. I'm impressed she didn't at any point just quit or have a meltdown.

She's not even "ugly" though. She was the 2nd one voted in and has legions of fans all over the place... chick needs to suck it up. I'm glad she has the confidence now, actually.

tbh, this kind of reminds me of some interviews Girls Aloud did back in the day (end of SOTU era-ish, can't really remember) where they would complain about the press/the reality show stigma/the workload and pretty much everything and the interviewer would go "sounds like you're kind of sick being in Girls Aloud, then?" and then they'd get all confused and be like "wtf you talking about, we love it, we wouldn't give it up for anything!"

I think it was hard for her but I don't think she'd want to trade it in. She seems a lot happier now, actually, in the past 2 years.

(idk, of course, pure conjecture over here)

I'm the same way, actually. I cannot hide it when I'm in a bad mood. If I were a popstar, everyone would hate me, I guess XD I'm always blaming it on my starsign and since I share the same with Nicola, it might actually be possible that it's part of the reason why... XD
