Every night since he left I’ve had this ache inside me. This pang of longing and…how’s this for irony; I feel like my soul’s missing.
My boy’s been gone for so long and hasn’t sent so much as a letter or a note, nothing. Till last week.
Sire,
I'd start this letter with the normal things, like asking how you are and all that, but we're not normal people, now are we? Hell, we're not people at all, come to that, so why bother?
Best to just cut to the chase, so here it is.
I want you to leave that bleached blonde piece of Euro trash shit and come to me, baby. I know you've been wanting to, I've been feeling it and I also know it's been a while, a long while, but that doesn't mean I haven't been thinking about you. Missing you. Truth is I haven't stopped, not for a second and I've realized that I need you here, with me. I need you here with me babe or I don't know how I'll go on.
You said once that if I ever needed you… well I need you now.
Look, write me back and tell me what you want. I'll come get you, whatever you want and then we can have a proper life together. You know I'll treat you right, not the way he does, like you're his fucking possession.
You know I love you, babe. I know you love me too. So write me back. Soon.
If my heart still beat it would have stopped. I loved him and missed him like my heartbeat; I’ve always said he was my reason to go on at times. The letter sent my skin on fire with want. He wanted me, he needed me. He knew things weren’t right here and they weren’t; things with Spike have just been bad and I needed to get away. It still means...he wants me. I’ve waited so long to hear that since he left.
I needed my boy; my dangerous rattlesnake that was purely my creation.
Without waiting another second I start packing a few things, taking only the few things that mean anything to me before leaving Spike a note that I’d be back…someday. Maybe.
Three trains and a few passengers later I found where he was; the address on the back of the letter told me he was in Rome and that’s where I was, took some time but I found his place. Just as I could smell the rising sun as I stepped up to the doorstep and knocked, a smirk on my lips when he opened the door. “I’ve never been one to write.” I murmured before reaching up and running my hand over his cheek.
