It was written in the heavens today that I would get to see live video feed from the Space Station while I sat console for the refrigerated centrifuge setup today. (Literally: somehow the ISS, the satellites that relay data, and all sorts of details regarding orientation, speed, location, were all aligned such that we had a rare opportunity to actually watch as Bill (MacArthur, ISS Commander) performed our activities).

Very very very cool. Probably the best thing I've gotten to experience on the job since I started working here 1.5 years ago.

God, it looked to quiet and lonely up there. Nothing but hardware and wires and cameras and preplanned activities. Eh, it's still a cool job, and you get paid more than handsomely.

I hope the luck continues for stuff I have to sit console for tomorrow and Wednesday. So much cooler than sitting at a computer completely in the dark as to how things are going other than an occasion radio calldown every 15-30 minutes.

I don't know how much longer I am going to last as far as the 'real' workday goes. Been up since 11:30 pm and didn't really sleep much before that.
