Maybe it's just me -- it seems that a lot of things are -- but if the alleged plot was truly foiled, as the TV news would have me believe, what need is there for enhanced security? It seems to me that, maybe rather than using a word like 'foiled' and making the people arrested seem like nefarious supervillians that wear purple, lycra bodysuits, it'd be prudent to use more restrained language to describe what's happened.
I guess restrained language doesn't make people buy American flags.
