this started out as an idea for a graphic as a gift for sixtieshairdo, because i know how much she loves this pairing, and then it bled into something else.
in my headcanon, after the final confrontation on the beach, alex spends a lot of time (probably more than is healthy) reliving armando's death, blaming himself for it, and hoping that one day, armando will somehow be able to reconnect the scattered pieces of himself and return to him.
and they will probably bang. :)
because i totally believe that armando can come back. he has the power of reactive evolution -- he can turn into pure energy if he had to, and i think that's what happened when he "died." he was adapting. granted, his powers had probably not done anything that extreme before, but it's plausible that he could come back. yeah.
