disheartening news today
ugh i have such a major headache due to all this election bullshit. was i naive enough to think that things could actually change? i was so hopeful and now so hopeless.
i dont think any of the people i wanted to get in office, got in...no Kerry, no Castor, all amendments passed except for number 4. its just so sad.
and then i think about all that could have been...stem cell research, money and research for global warming, abortion rights, gay rights, and dont even get me started on the war issue.
now i am mad. no wonder the world fucking hates us, we are self centered, egotistical, money hungy bastards who dont bother to ask questions or learn about other cultures. we just think we are almighty. and now we have the most cocky guy in charge for another 4 years.
chosen by stupid americans. i wish i could be less harsh with this statement but i honestly cant see how anyone can look at what has happened and the decisions that have been made in the last four years and vote for bush. i just dont see it.
i am glad that kerry has taken it so gracefully, not having a recount or any of that bullshit especially since there wasnt really a chance of the outcome being any different. sadly bush won and he accepted it, saying publicly that he hopes to move forward and help unite america.
i really hope for the future of america that bush too sees this need for unity in america. and i hope bush realizes how close this election was and to pay attention to the views on stem cell research, the right to choose, gay rights etc. because they ARE important. although i dont feel hopeful right now, it is my hope that some sort of change will be made and that bush, somehow, leads us well.
only time will tell.
