2 cute things out of the mouths of children...
1) On Thursday night my nephews stayed over at our house. The 2.5 year old wouldn't go to bed so he was sitting on my lap and we were looking at pictures. I would show him one and have him point out the people he knew. Well we got to one of Dave and I and he's like, "Auntie Jenny" and I said, "And do you know who that is?" "Dave, your boyfriend." So I explain that he's not my boyfriend anymore and he says "Why, is he dead?"
2) Friday was my last day student teaching. School ends at 3 and it was about 2:15. I called the kids over to the white carpet to do math and this little girl came over to me and whispered, "Is it time for the surprise now?" Completely not realizing that since the surprise was supposed to be for me I would know nothing about it. So I said, "No honey, I don't know anything about that, you'd have to ask Mrs. Kratz" and she whispers, "oh ok," still thinking that because she's whispering it's a secret.
Kids, I love them!
