The gyms around here are total vultures. I'm a firm believer in never having to lie to somebody just to get out of making a commitment. And I like how they try to pretend they're being all supportive and looking out for your best interest when they're not even listening to a word you're saying. I hate our Y, the people are all clearly disgruntled volunteers.

I suggest a place that is convenient more than anything else. If its a pain to get to, curling up under a blanket with a bag of oreos is always going to sound like a better idea in the winter.

I used to work for the y, i guess it all depends on which one your planning on going to go too... and I have heard that the WAC is good too... As long as its not the wac in whitewater cause they suck balls (i worked there also)

I don't know if you'd like my advice, I work at the Y and it's a nice facility, however, I find that the Y can be a bit crowded to work out in. But if you don't like crowds it may not be the place for you.

hey jen, if you join the ymca, you can work out with me, if you'd like. the y has its good points and its bad points, like all other gyms, though, overall, i've enjoyed it.
i'll get back to you regarding the vacation stuff. i need to think a bit as to where would be cool near places for all of us to go to.

Dunno, I work out at the fitness center at school, ours is really nice. Cheap personal trainers too, which is the shit! I did used to work at the Greenfield Y, there was always kids running around everywhere, really annoying when you're trying to swim laps. And since you have to deal with kids all day, maybe an adults only gym? Maybe the WAC down HWY 100? It's nice cuz they're open 24 some of them.
