http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2007-09-24/pyu-to-fuku-jaguar-movie Earlier this summer, a live-action film adaptation of the Kyōsuke Usuta comedy manga Pyū to Fuku! Jaguar was announced in Weekly Shonen Jump, the manga magazine which features the series. Over the weekend, the film's release was confirmed and the principle cast was announced.
The main character, Jaguar, will be played by Jun Kaname, who made his major acting debut as Kamen Rider G3 in the sci-fi robot series Kamen Rider Agito. The director of the film, Makkoi Saitō, said that he selected Kaname because he is a "very interesting human being." Other cast selected for roles in the movie include variety show regulars Hirosaki Ogi and Kenichi Nagira.
Jaguar first appeared in Weekly Shonen Jump 7 years ago. As a "gag" manga, the series does not have a uniform plot, but the action centers around the imposing looking Jaguar, who plays the recorder in a way that it sounds like a guitar. The movie is scheduled to open in early 2008.
