i want to go see tool & crystal castles at all points west. ahhhhhhhh!!!!! august first. it's 85 bucks :( i think i'll wait until the day and buy tickets at the door to avoid ticketmaster's bullshit. i guess if it's sold out, it's not meant to be.
so i went home to virginia last sunday for my birthday--my mom threw me a party. i got the camille rose garcia book "the saddest place on earth" and the hi-fructose collected edition!!! and a cherry-lemon 2-layer cake with purple icing served on lisa frank plates. best. birthday. ever.
and timo & i saw a baby bear in the forest.
yes, best birthday ever--even though my birthday isn't actually until the 13th. so, best pre-birthday ever.
we also went to the smithsonian in D.C. yesterday and i sat for a while drawing bones in the "bone exhibit" there. which if you get a chance, you should go see it. it's really awesome and they also have a rastafarian exhibit there!
