He closed his eyes to feel her. It came to him strong. She always did. It was a relief to him, to always feel that she was safe. He blinked into her apartment and found himself standing over her couch. She was asleep on it and the TV was casting soft lights against her face. How long had it been since he had seen her? With everything going on in the underworld, he couldn't even count the true days.
