But as the country suffers another week of flooding the Government announces that the UK is going to built two 65,000 tonne aircraft carriers (read all about it
here). There's stuff been said about the carriers will "provide our front-line forces with the modern, world class capabilities they will need over the coming decades". Well, that might be the truth... I think they're just getting a couple of arks ready in case the flooding gets worse in years to come. After all, what's probably the best known UK aircraft carrier, HMS Ark Royal. The clue is in the title. Was that ready to whisk the royal family away in the event of a global flood? See, it all starts to make sense now. So, why are there now two. Well, I think there's space for all the royal family on one, and two of each of the animals on the other so that there's a breeding pool so they have something to shoot whilst at sea. Well, that made sense to me :)
