I have not updated in a while...because I havent really wanted to...
I have upgraded my illness from Influenza(so much cooler sounding then the Flu) to The Black Plague....I have been out of commission for 2 whole weeks and I feel that no ordinary flu is capable of this...there for I have self-diagnosed myself w/ the plague...
What started off as a simple gift for some of my close friends has quickly escalated into an uproar over pieces of cotton w/ writing on them (that is all that my Tshirts are)...through giving this gift I have really been able to see ppls character...ppl who i dont talk to and dont hang out w/ coming up to me, angry that they didnt get a shirt.
This upsets me because...
-Who the "frick" are you? If we're not friends and I don't think ur great...im not gonna give u a Tshirt that says that I think ur great...its really not that complicated
-I am not made of money...I did not find these shirts, i had them made...it cost me money, money is not a thing that i have a surplus of, I do not mind spending for my friends cause I love my friends and they deserve it...but i cant just be spending to my little hearts' content
-Where do ppl come of asking for presents? thats not what ya do! ppl that are rude enough to try and make me feel obligated to give them a present are not great and therefore do not get a shirt...

I had my last holiday party today...This one was my "Christmukuh" party w/ my dad's jewish side of the family...slightly akward i no
and yes for all of u avid readers of my LJ the devil dog did make a satanic appearance at this Jewish/xmas/funtastic shindig...
I have 3 aunts and it amazes me how different they all are when it comes to opening gifts.
My first aunt is my moms older sis...her name is Phylis but for some reason we call her "Fuf", something to do w/ the fact that my sis couldnt say her name or something when she was a wee one... anyway
Fuf opens her gift, and before even seeing what it is...she goes into this yell where she starts quiet and gets louder and then gets quiet again....its hard to explain, it sounds like each sentence she is saying is a vocal warm up for a chorus class or something....its quite amusing and shes a fun time...she is also my relative who is...how can I put this delicately...
Fond of the drink?
She gets plastered at every party which makes for fun entertainment...shes a weird drunk cause she'll get really emotional....
"I think(tear) that its really great (tear) that we can still do things as a family (tear tear)"
My second aunt is my ma's younger sis, Nancy...we call her Nan...again its my sis's fault apparently she had sometype of speech impediment when she was younger jk...
Shes less excitable than Fuf but will say really abrupt short statements w/ few pauses in between words, very loudly...
"OhIloveit!" "Thanks,itsgreat!"
shes less fun but thats ok...shes a dentist what can u expect
My third aunt is the most popular among my friends, Dale...
her name has 2 problems
-its a dude's name
-we call her Dale Winston, but she had it legally changed like 20 years ago to Ali...and she married this old boring dude last year so her last name is different too...
technically her name is Ali Conklin....but we call her Dale Winston...its messed up...but u follow?
Shes my pa's younger sister...she breaks out into yiddish when opening gifts...itll go something like this...(bear in mind i dont no how to spell yiddish so ill just spell them phonetically)
"Oy, Im shvitzin ova here with my new bottle of Manoshevitz...Oh! this is love in a bottle I swear"
The "Conklin Clan" is not ur typical american family...
they have Dale the large innkeeper who u just heard about
Harry the old dude that looks like he should be in a commercial for Diabetes or somethin
and their adopted Guatamalen son Sergio...
so the grandkids names(on that side of the fam)are Edward, Andrew, Amy...and Sergio!(one of these things is not like the other...one of things just isnt the same...)
Oy, i have just chronicled like 1/6 of my family for u
