Yeah, they just aren't dramatic enough. Maybe a photoshop filter will make them seem mysterious? Or maybe a little sickly and ugly. But still.

Photoshop filters would mess up the text. And I don't intend on making my comics "dramatic," really. I'm not trying to tell a story or anything. These things usually end up more like poems than they do narratives. I'm not saying there isn't room for improvement or anything, but I usually try to get these things done and out there before the feeling passes.

being done with school does kind of suck. my roommates just started classes this week and it's actually kind of depressing hearing about it.

And it's funny you think you're interests are too narrow for grad school, because I think mine are too broad.

You should just go. Move somewhere where you'll know at least one person and don't think twice about it. If you fail, all that will happen is you'll be back where you are now. Which isn't too bad, right?

Well maybe they are narrow or maybe they are broad. I like literature, but I wouldn't say I like it enough to want to seriously commit to studying it at Grad School: I'd sooner die than have to get through another Willa Cather short story or classical Greek tragedy.

I do want to "just go" but it's hard finding people who would want to do the same thing AND are people I want to live with and whom I know I can rely on to be responsible housemates. The people I know who have left already or are leaving soon seem to have a cozy thing going right now and I'm afraid they aren't in need of another person in their living arrangement.
