-----PART TWO---
They put on other clothes, although rather quietly. Khun and Taec weren't really looking at each other, wondering exactly how the supposed lipstick stains went from Khun's lips to Taec's pants, and then further. Though when Taec actually took them off to clean up, but he didn't tell Khun the last bit. Khun couldn't really explain the grape jelly either. His hands were stuck to the floor's surface when he woke up...but why grape jelly? Chan dismissed his boner as morning wood, but why the missing shoe? He never found it that morning and ended up buying a pair of sandals from the hotel's gift shop.
When Chan came back upstairs, Taec and Khun were rummaging through their pockets from last night, pulling out pieces of paper and hoping they would serve as clues. Khun found a packet of matches from a hotel: The Mirage. On the back, he found a name and a number. Some girl named Barbie. Taec found two flyers he'd folded in half. One had a picture of a woman in lingerie on it. She was on all fours on a bed, but he'd sketched one of his infamous cat cartoons doing some rather indecent things to her rear end. There were some numbers listed on the other matching flyer; Chan's handwriting. Maybe they were contacts he could get in touch with to see what happened. Chan dug through his own and found two plastic sandwich bags in his back pocket. There was nothing else inside of them.
---
The three of them headed out to remember.
"Right...first...where do we head?" Taec asked.
The three of them looked up and down the street, more like cats watching a tennis match than three men trying to recollect a night of insanity.
"Left?" Khun offered.
"Sounds good enough. Let's go."
They passed some people giving them peculiar looks, and tried to see if they recognized any of them...but they could have been anyone. It took about twenty minutes of walking before they ended up in front of a large hotel called the Mirage, and a little person began yelling at them.
"Hey! Italian Korea boys!"
"What?" Chan laughed.
"Korea! Annyeong? Yeah!"
He came up to high-five Khun, the latter doing so politely (although confusedly). The man's English was a bit broken, so even the native speakers worked hard to concentrate on the accent.
"Did you forget last night!?" he yelled up at the three.
They all sadly nodded 'yes,' but he bent over and started laughing. He began to explain.
He was a foreigner, like them, hired to be in a show at the hotel; said that his girlfriend ran into a nice Italian man over there before she had come home last night.
"Oh! ...oh," Taec started, "Um...about her-"
"What? She kiss you?"
"Uh. No. Him." He pointed to Chan, leaving him wide-eyed and worried.
"Ah, she's like that. What to do? Eh. Come! Let me help you. Come, come!"
The man hustled inside and the three followed. They followed him through a gathering of tropical trees settled near the front lobby.
"You see? That's where you peed first!"
They were already hanging their heads in shame. He lead them into a private elevator, set rather wide; probably a service elevator. A few quiet seconds ticked as they went down.
"Hey...Raccoon!"
The man tapped at Khun's hip to get his attention, but he turned with a tight smile as the others laughed. He then pointed a hand toward a smear on the wall that was about eye-level with Khun.
"That's where you kissed man-woman!"
"What!?" they yelled in unison. The elevator floor dinged and the man walked out.
"Ah! It's not important! Come!"
They trod down an empty hallway until they reached two double doors leading into a room full of costumes. Men walked around grabbing at various things, but...something was off. There were bright, loudly-colored things everywhere, including wigs and abnormally large high heels. Khun looked around the room in horror, only to be spotted by one rather enthusiastic looking man.
"Khun!? Hey ladies it's Khunnie!" "Raccoon!? Hey baby!"
It was a room full of drag queens. Khun giggled for a moment, face heating up before he turned to one sitting down doing her makeup. On the clothing rack next to her was a collection of pink outfits, including a few boas, and she'd just finished applying her makeup. Her lips were red, a tinge that matched the one on his lips from earlier. She saw him, winked, and blew a kiss. Khun's eyes became two large orbs poking out of his head when he saw the name above her dresser: Barbie.
Taec and Chan looked around, mouths open in awe until they heard a large thud and saw the room scurry their way to help.
Khun had fainted.
---
The Thai-Chinese import woke up in a daze. He saw Chan's face looming over him first.
"Chan...you never sleep in here. I thought you were in the living room-"
"Khun-"
"I had the oddest dream man. Like...we'd gone to..."
Khun's eyes opened further and saw the ceiling behind Chan's head. It was bright pink. He shot up and saw that the three of them were in a drag queen's dressing room; Barbie's dressing room. It was the three of them, the queen herself, and the little man that greeted them outside.
"Honey you need to stop passing out," she said. "Things aren't so fun when you fall everywhere."
How drunk was he? Did they make out? Or more? What about Taec? Oh shit. So much lipstick. The elevator. The boa and pants. So much pink. So, so, so much pink. Khun's thoughts were everywhere before he spoke.
"Did I...did we..."
"Short Round here told me everything."
"Short...Round?"
"Little man you met? He likes Indiana Jones movies. ...and we just kissed honey. I see the face you're making right now. Calm down."
Khun chuckled nervously, but he pushed the thought aside. A kiss couldn't hurt, could it? Right. He was notorious for getting drunk and kissing people. What's a kiss anyway? Yet he could see Taec's leg twitching at the corner of his eye.
"Now you're friend there..." She licked her lips and winked at him.
There was another thud, this time echoing in the small pink room. It was Taec's turn to faint.
---
Taec woke up in a large laundry hamper at a back entrance, Khun and Chan sitting on either side of him. The little man came out and handed them a few bottles of water, Taec took one and quickly and gulped it down before attempting to climb over the edge of the hamper. He tripped, falling back in and then over and out with a small tumble.
"Shut up."
"But Taec," Chan started, "we didn't say-"
"Just shut up. We got stuff to do."
He pulled out his flyers as the others guffawed and waved goodbye to the little man by the doors. They caught up to Taec before the oldest paused. He sighed, turned around and yelled back at aptly named man.
"Hey! ...tell Barbie I said bye!" The three started walking again as Taec pulled out the flyers and started examining them. Khun and Chan were about to laugh again, but Taec shot each of them a glare.
"We know, we know. Shut up. We got it," Chan said, sliding his fingers along his lips like a fake zipper.
"But," Khun wondered, "where to next?"
"Wherever these numbers get us," Taec answered.
He pulled out his cellphone and started dialing.
