She shut the book that was in her hands, having been turning the pages in search of something between them. Straightening up, Pansy brought the book against her stomach.
"And here I was, thinking you'd finally given up on me. I guess I'm not that lucky."

"Though, I suppose it could be worse," he added, knowing full well she could see what he was doing.

"If you'll excuse me," she started dryly. "I have something that needs to be taken care of."
With that, she turned and went into the library, opening the book back up to flip through the pages again as she did.

He let out another chuckle before going in after her.
"You can't get rid of me that easily, Pans."

Dropping the book off, she didn't skip a beat and headed straight into the stacks.

He peeked through, grinning smugly.
"Merlin, we've got to stop meeting like this!"

This is pointless. Why am I even wasting my time?
But maybe some good could come out of her being there.... After all, Cormac would always be useful for hex practice.

"Ah ha!" he said, holding it out in from of him. "I finally found you. You know, Gosford said I was an interesting fellow today! I rather think he likes me."
He didn't even care that he wasn't actually talking to anyone.

"Everyone likes you. After all, you are the McLaggenator," she said sarcastically. Pansy rounded the corner fully and began to slowly peruse the books now in front of her, her footsteps gradually leading her closer in his direction.

"Try not to flatter yourself too much. You might start to overflow and I can't say I want any of your nastiness on my shoes."

He flipped open the book, peering down at the worn pages, though his mind was certainly not on what was before him.
"You know its true." His voice was barely above a whisper, though he was sure she could hear him.

She put it back after a moment and took a few steps farther away from him, her hands now clasped behind her back.
"I think I've done pretty good so far. I think I can carry on just as easily."

He shut the book with a smack, and spun around to look at her slyly.

"Don't you have a book to check out?" she asked pointedly.

"That I do," he replied, genuinely amused. "You're not already looking out for me, are you, Pans?"
