Sue and I attended the Tanglefoot Farewell Concert at Hugh's Room Sunday and we had a fabulous time although it is sad they are disbanding after all these years. They played for 2 and half hours and although they didn't play all our favourites, they did a fantastic job and had the full house singing and clapping along. We chatted with Terry from the band and he has now formed a new group with the fiddle player called My Sweetie Patootie" and we picked up a copy of their CD along with Terry's solo CD. A fun night and we hope to catch My Sweetie Patootie sometime in the near future. The other band members indicated they will be still doing music in various forms and that a song book is in the planning stages and to watch the Tanglefoot website. I have attached a couple of pictures from the evening. We will be back at Hugh's Room in a few weeks to see John Sebastien and I am looking forward to that a lot. They have also just announced that Kate Rusby from England is booked there for March of next year!!!!! Wahoooo!!! We are huge fans of hers and she doesn't travel much because of an apparent fear of flying. This would be an excellent opportunity for anyone coming to FKO nerxt year to take in the show. Check out the Hugh's Room website here in Toronto.
