hypothyroid

i am glad to know that i am not a hypocondriac like i feared but that i have hpyothyrodism, which isn't that uncommon. but what is a bit more rare and has me a lil freaked out is that my TSH levels (what measures your thryoid hormone production) was 34, where healthy is below 4 or 5. tonight i was informed that it's usually caught when a person is showing all the symptoms around 12 or 13 at an avg high. METH users get TSH levels where mine is, and I obviously am not nor ever will do drugs. 34! that's crazy. it's a huge factor in depression, anxiety, in ability to handle being cold, exhaustion, insomnia...the list goes on and it fits me to a T. i am thrilled to find out what's wrong at last and to finally have some reasons to the madness. but just a lil creepy how out of whack i really was!
