finally moved into our new new place
So the entire month of August, Dan and I were in a shitty apartment with bugs and everything was breaking AND to add insult to injury we had no internet or tv.... it was the worst month ever. So how did we get out of the lease you ask? I reported the apartment to the city, and they called the landlord, so the landlord in turn called me and offered us a new apartment... the catch was that we had to wait until August 1st to go... ick. So we made it, and now I finally have internet and I can catch up on all my shows.
The aggravating thing is that Dan has had a visitor since Saturday that is a lot of work.. and requires a lot of attention... And goes out every night but not until like 1 am. So I am stuck sitting up waiting for them to leave so that I can have some time to myself to unpack and stuff. I have so much stuff to do to get ready for the New York Couture Show on the 12th, I have to make all the hair pieces still... and I don't have any space or quiet to do it.
So I'm tired... I'm grumpy... and I want quiet... and I just want them all to leave so that I can make my bed, put in season 2 of Beverly Hills 90210, and drink a cocktail until I fall asleep.
Tim was sopposed to come up tomorrow until Tuesday night, but all the buses are sold out so I guess I have to wait until next weekend... so I am sad. I was excited to see him. And have someone here with me while I deal with the annoyingness that is the guest we have.
I need to get a ride to ikea soon, I need shelves for my Barbies and I want fun fabric for curtains to cover up the windows on all the french doors. I also need to go to Home Depot and pick out paint, so I can paint sexyness all over my walls.
For anyone that reads this, and lives in new york, Dan and I are throwing a house warming party on October 4th... Hopefully the apartment will be done by then.
