Here's Part C. Next up is part D ^^

The hall was beginning to empty. I was already going to be late for class... Who knows how long Heechul would take at his locker before I could get headed off to--I checked my schedule-- Science. Science? Oh, fun.... I looked back at him and smiled, "I'll get you." Zhou Mi always told me I was too nice for my own good. Mama would then tell me that girls like the nice ones. My own experience told me that you didn't have to be nice. Thankfully I was (according to Waipo) handsome and nice. Not to mention smart. Well, somewhat.

Heechul grinned, all that (fake?) innocence gone, "Yay!" And he ran off.

I turned to my locker and hit my head on the metal door, groaning. Not even 3 hours since I met him and I already knew Heechul was going to make my life... interesting (*cough* a living hell *cough*). Odd how it seemed we'd known each other for a lot longer than that. It made me happy I already had a friend to rely on.

"I thought you were supposed to come get I me."

I spun around, heart racing speeding at the surprise. Heechul lifted an eyebrow at me, "Did I really scare you that much?"

I took a deep breath to calm myself, "Yes. That was fast."

Heechul smirked, "Obviously you are not."

"I was... thinking?" Take that, Mimi, I'm not always honest. Well... I was thinking. Damn.

Heechul rolled his eyes, "Whatever. We're going to be late for class."

I quickly grabbed my books and followed Heechul. Although where he was going wasn't necessarily to my science class.

"What class?" He asked quickly, still dragging me behind him.

"Science. Is this the right way?"

He stopped. "Damn it. You should have spoken up. Science is in the west wing, near the middle-school section."

"Heechul... You really don't need to take me there. You're going be late for your own class!" I said quickly, pulling my arm out of his grasp, "Really."

Heechul rolled his eyes at me, "It's not going to make much of a difference, Hankyung." I flinched. That name still sounded so... foreign. "I'm pretty much always late. The teachers here more or less expect me to be late." He smacked me across the top of my head when he saw me looking guilty, "Quit worrying about me. Do all of you Chinese people worry so much?"

I frowned, "What's that supposed to mean?"

He rolled his eyes. "Whatever. We need to get you to class."

I walked into science, getting everyone's attention. The teacher, an old woman (or was that a man?) with a wrinkly face and a bored expression sighed. "First day and you're late." She marked something on a sheet of paper as I went to go sit beside two guys near the back.

"Was that Heechul we saw you with?" The thinner of the duo asked.

I turned my head and lifted a hand in greeting, "Hello to you too."

The bulkier (I had no idea whether that was fat or if this guy was just that built), grimmer (and more masculine...) looking one huffed, "Think you're funny, eh?"

I shook my head, "No...." Usually I would have at least thought of some fairly witty comeback, but that guy, whether I knew martial arts or not, looked pretty strong. I wasn't stupid (arguable) enough to get myself into trouble with him.

The thinner one glared at his friend, "Don't be mean, Youngwoon." He turned back to me and smiled, "Don't mind him. He just woke up on the wrong side of the bed." He bowed his head, "I'm Park Jungsu. That's--"

"I can introduce myself, hyung!" Muscle snapped, then looked over at me, "I'm Kim Youngwoon." His gaze returned to his friend (judging by the 'hyung', his friend was older. Although his looks told otherwise....) "And how would you know what side of the bed I woke up on?"

I quickly tuned out of their conversation, turning my attention to the old hag (I'm still not sure if that was a man or not) at the front, droning on and on about... Well, I'm not entirely sure what she (he?) was talking about. I could only vaguely hear harsh whispers from my right.

"I don't think so."

"But hyung... It's been two weeks..."

"The last time my parents could hear. They told me it's one thing to know what their son is--"

I put my hands over my ears. It was bad enough when my parents decided it was okay to make jokes in front of me, I didn't need to hear the two I sat beside in science (There's some sort of weird irony in that) arguing about... that. At least, I thought it was that. I seriously hoped I was wrong. I took my mind off of them by thinking about Heechul. For someone who snapped so easily when I had bumped into him earlier, he was awfully nice now. And if I was warned by the teacher (Ms. Park. Turns out it was a woman) for being late, I could only imagine what he was going through.

The bell rang. I was jolted awake by it. Pondering things often caused me to sort of fall asleep. And I could hear the odd duo still bickering about something or other as I picked up my books. I wasn't entirely sure how their conversation changed so much, but now they were arguing about... sandwiches? They honestly sounded like a married couple. A really messed up married couple.

"Hey Hankyuuuuuung..." Heechul sang as I left the classroom. Once again, I nearly jumped.

"How do you get here so fast?" I demanded, still in shock.

He grinned mischievously (not a good sign when we're talking about Heechul) "Why should I divulge my secrets to someone I've only known for half a day?"

"At this point, it seems as though we've known each other for much longer than that."

"I guess that proves how peeeerfect we are for each other!" Heechul said loudly, skipping now.

I sighed, shaking my head, "Sure, sure. It's... Lunch time, right?"

"Mm-hm..."

"Is it okay if we sit with two people from my dance class?" I asked quickly.

"Well," Heechul said, stopping and putting a hand on his chin, "That depends on who they are."

"Donghae and Hyukjae. They asked me earlier if I wanted to sit with them."

He laughed, "Them? You continue to surprise me, Hankyung. They don't really seem like... your kind of people."

I put on a pout, "What's that supposed to mean? What's my kind of people?"

"I don't know... You seem like the type to be friends with... calmer people." He sighed, "Ones that aren't listening to our conversation."  Donghae and Hyukjae walked by, talking with each other as if Heechul hadn't said anything.

Donghae turned around, "Oh! Hankyung! Didn't see you there!"

Heechul rolled his eyes, muttering something I doubt even the two in front of us could understand. "Sure you didn't. Hankyung's not that naive."

They both ignored him. "Meet us by that big tree in the field, alright?" Hyukjae said before spinning around and running off, dragging Donghae behind him.

Heechul snorted, "That tree is my usual spot. How much you want to bet they picked that place on purpose?"

I sighed, continuing from where we were interrupted, "Heechul... If my kind of people are calmer... Why am I friends with you?"

His eyes darted over in my direction quickly before he kept walking, muttering something slightly more understandable, "Touché."

"Wow, it's cold!" Heechul yelled as we walked out the doors.

I glanced over at him, "Really?" I scoffed, "It's March, Heechul, of course it's going to be cold. If you think this is cold, you'd freeze to death where I come from."

Heechul huffed, but said nothing more. He grabbed my arm and marched out into the field where an empty, dead looking tree stood, a single picnic table underneath. He let go of my arm once we got there and sat down on the table, pulling his jacket tighter around himself. "Aish... I can't wait for spring..."

"Hankyung! Heechul!"

We both turned around to see Donghae and Hyukjae approaching, waving and smiling. I smiled back and waved, "Hey!"

"So you decided to join us after all?" Donghae laughed once they had gotten to the tree. He looked over at Heechul, a little pout on his face, "Hyung... Why don't you ever hang out with us anymore?"

Heechul looked away, "No reason..."

I raised an eyebrow in his direction, but decided not to bother. My parents had taught me well enough to mind my own business. I went over to the picnic table and sat down, the others joining me within moments.

Hyukjae and Donghae sat on the other side, while Heechul sat on the table beside me, back to them. Donghae looked up from his bag. "So, Hankyung, how do you like Paran so far?"

I wrinkled my nose. "It's okay." My mind was blanking again, most likely from lack of food.

Heechul patted my back, "He means to say it's amazing, because I'm the first person he met."

"Not true." I said quietly, opening the lunch bag Mama had prepared this morning. It was rare for her to actually make my lunch for me, but she wasn't to start working until next week.

"What?" Heechul put on yet another of his innocent/hurt looks, "Y-You m-mean..." His bottom lip started to tremble.

I reached out, touching his shoulder, "No, no. I mean you're not the first one I met. Of course, the first person I met from the school hates me."

Heechul burst out laughing.

Hyukjae looked up at me, "Do you know why Kyuhyun hates you?"

Heechul stopped laughing, only to look at me with wide eyes, "Kyuhyun?! He hates you?"

Donghae looked up from his sandwich and at Hyukjae, "Kyuhyun hates Hankyung?"

I sighed, "I don't know why he hates me... He just does."

Heechul's jaw dropped, "Hyukjae... You don't actually know?" He smirked, "So it's actually possible."

Hyukjae glared, "Shut up."

Donghae face palmed. I sighed again, looking over at Donghae, "Are they always like this?"

He shrugged, "How would I know? The last time either of us have really spoken to Heechul was... two years ago?" He looked over at his angry friend and my own angry one, smiling, "It's nice to talk to him again."

"I'm not a fucking psychic Heechul!"

"So you just have so little of a life you go on stalking people?"

Donghae's smile faded, "Okay... Maybe not so nice... It's interesting."

I watched Heechul and Hyukjae going back and forth, throwing insults and other loud... words. "So you guys were all friends once?"

Donghae scrunched up his nose. "Once upon a time. You see, we used to be a whole group. Of course, they," He pointed to the two who were still fighting. Over what, I had no idea. "Never really got along. The three of us had to push them together to be able to bear each other."

"Three of you?"

Donghae nodded, "Yeah. Siwon, me and Sung--" He hesitated, "Hah. Never mind, just two of us."

I raised an eyebrow, "Sungmin?" After I said that, everything seemed to go quiet. I lowered the dumpling I was about to eat and looked beside me. Heechul was glaring at Donghae. I slid down the bench away from him and his scary glare.

"Donghae..." He said through gritted teeth.

He waved, "Hello to you too, hyung! Weren't you fighting with Hyukkie? Maybe you should get back to that."

Heechul narrowed his eyes, and then he suddenly jumped up and ran from the table. I wondered what any of us had said wrong, but then watched as he ran to a tall, ridiculously muscled, dark haired guy that was approaching. "SIWONNIE~"

I motioned towards him. "That must be Siwon."

Donghae nodded, "Yup. Siwon." He looked to his friend beside him, probably some code for what Hyukjae would say next.

"Choi Siwon. Second year. Christian. Very religious. Little sister, Choi Jiwon. She's a first year. Family owns a big store chain known across Asia. His father also helped build the school."

Donghae patted Hyukjae on the back, sighing. "Thank you, Hyukkie. In other words, Siwon is rich. He's a good guy to have on your side. I have no idea how or why him and Heechul hit it off so well, but they're, like, best friends. Unfortunately, for the past month, Siwon was away in--"

"Japan."

I turned around to see Siwon standing over me, smiling. I looked down nervously for whatever reason. Handsome, rich, big guy smiling at me, the poor, new guy that could hardly even speak Korean (Heechul told me otherwise), made me feel a little uncomfortable.

Siwon sat down beside me, "You must be the new Chinese guy everyone's talking about. Hankyung, was it?"

Heechul sat down beside me, wrapping his arms around me, "Right! Hankyung is in my homeroom." He nudged my shoulder with his... Was that his nose? "Hannie, why don't you say hi to Siwon. He's nice."

I smiled at Siwon, but immediately turned to face Heechul, "Hyung... Hannie?"

Siwon sighed, "Of course. Think nothing of it, hyung. Heechul is just like that... It's unfortunate he had to be the first one you met." He laughed as Heechul kicked him in the leg.

I squirmed in Heechul's embrace. Not that I minded all that much, but I barely knew him still, therefore it was just a little awkward.

Hyukjae reached over the table and nudged the newcomer, "How was Japan?"

"It wasn't anything spectacular. We were only there because father wanted to expand the market into Japan. Mother took Jiwon and I around Tokyo while father was at business meetings and the like. We left the city one of the days to see one of the festivals. It was pretty cool. They hardly have any churches there, did you know? I was surprised."

Heechul laughed, finally letting go of me. "Sounds like my kind of place! No religious nutcases like you trying to convert me!"

I looked over at him. "Hyung... In Japan it's mostly Shinto and Buddhism. They go to temples, not churches. And sometimes, not even those."

He frowned. "Oh. But I think I'd rather be a Buddhist than a Christian. More simplistic."

I shrugged. "Whatever you say."

Siwon shook his head, "Hyung, being Christian isn't just about going to church and reading the bible. It's a way of life. It's to show that we, as Christians, respect God and live to serve him and the world he created."

I knew his preaching was making Heechul sick, because even I grimaced. Of course, I didn't voice it out like he did. "Siwonnie," Heechul snorted, "You used to bring that book of yours to lunch. I think you're the only Christian that does that. I wouldn't be surprised if you have it hidden somewhere right now."

"Hyung, I don't bring it anymore. Not after you accidentally spilled grape juice all over the Bible I got from my grandfather for Christmas!"

I looked over at Donghae, who was already pinching the bridge of his nose. "Please don't tell me there's another argument coming."

"With Heechul, you never know."

I shrugged and grabbed for my dumpling again. Only, it wasn't there. I turned to my right to see Heechul about to sink his teeth into my dumpling. "Hey!" I lunged for it, but he laughed and moved, only for me to lunge again, knocking him off the bench. Heechul, being Heechul, just had to pull me down with him.

"Ah! Hankyung! Hyung!" Siwon stood up, "Are you guys okay?"

I pushed off the ground, holding myself over Heechul. The red-head just smirked up at me, "We only just met and you're all over me?"

I gulped and scrambled to get up, looking away to hide my blush. Heechul, on the other hand, just laughed as he brushed the dirt from his uniform and jacket.

Siwon raised one of his rather prominent eyebrows, "Did I miss something?"

Donghae sighed yet again, "No..."

"Okay." He nodded back skeptically.

Heechul held out the hand that had my dumpling, which I promptly snatched away. Not without a glare, of course.
