I can't adequately express just how much fun I had making this batch for the Pass-It-On round at 20inspirations! Basically, every icon has to connect somehow to the one preceding it and then also involve an additional element to be incorporated into the next piece. I think what I'm proudest of is that none of the icons looks at all similar to one another. It's like showing off all of Gaga's weird personalities! I'm sure you've noticed how every damn maker around seems to have taken the text game to a whole new level, so I'm really trying to be bolder and more creative in that area. I really like the texture use on claustrophobia + sunglasses. Gaga isn't recognizable at the first glance, but it holds the attention and makes to look further.
matte + negative space went great and minimalistic. I think you should make more minimalistic and neg space icons, because you are good at them.

Yeah, I thought that the "claustrophobia + suglasses" icon might be problematic in that you don't see her image right away, but it forces you to examine the piece more closely, which is a good thing, right? :)

I'm so unbelievably happy with how "matte + neg space" turned out, so I'm thrilled that it stood out to you. THE COLOURING. THE TEXTURES. CROPS. TEXT. EVERYTHING. HOW?????

everything. everything is so perf and THERE ARE NO QUALITY ISSUES and i can't even pick a fav, because i like basically everything in this post. ok ok i'll narrow it down to inversion & grunge for the composition, grunge & closeup for the weird looking texture and fantastically pastel colouring, closeup & matte for ALL THE COLOURS, oops i started listing them all, negative space & akimbo for the b/w contrast against that FANTASTIC SHADE OF BLUE... and the the text, AKIMBO & TRIANGLES BECAUSE 1. THAT IS THE BEST TEXTURE USE OF THAT TEXTURE I THINK I'VE EVER SEEN AND 2. THE COLOURS ARE PERFECT AND 3. this might sound weird but i love all the triangles in it esp the triangles in her elbows... triangles & obscurity because everything in it is fantastic and i can't decide which part i like best

No quality issues? I may cry. Lighting my stuff wrecks the quality sometimes, and I just am not very good at repairing the damage. I'm glad everything looks fine on both your screen and mine! I was hesitant about "grunge and close-up" cuz the grunge is so subtle. So relieved that you like it! The original photo for "close-up + matte" had such low contrast and cool colors that it was easy to make it look pretty. One of my fave Gaga pix fo sho! I made a blue icon that you like? EXCUSE ME WHILE I CRY FOREVER. WHEN I SAW THAT I ACTUALLY MADE DECENT BLUE ICONS HERE, I THOUGHT OF YOU AND WAS ALL "SO IT IS POSSIBLE FOR A PEASANT LIKE ME!" I just got told twice at the elite-inspired app that the triangle texture was too overpowering in the Bomer icon where I first used it, so now I feel like I conquered it and used it more efficiently.
