I GOT A 1 AT STATE VOCAL S+E YESTERDAY!
i'm so happy! i didnt think i was going to get it. my sight-reading was horrible, i totally crashed on my performance run-through. not good. i got off on pitch and the 6/8 screwed me over for some reason. i dont really know why since i did it fine on my practice runs. mr. g said it was nerves. still sucked though. and i didnt think my solo went very well either since the judge didnt like my english song at all. once again, my mozart saves me! thank you mozart!
mr. g asked me to perform my mozart thing on the last chior concet too which made me really happy. and he bought me a s+e medal too (which he hid in a box and turned so i couldnt see when he went to tell me my rating. grrr) he also wants me to sing for my IB diploma which i think i might. then i can focus on my college audition pieces instead of everything i need to perfect for the IB.
music banquet was really fun too so that was cool. great job to everyone that performed! and congrats to everyone who got awards!
