Envy's fingers dig into the cloth covering his palms so that he can feel his nails. This stupid fucking girl. He could have killed her the other week. He very nearly had. It had been perfectly within his power to do so and he'd left her alive so that he could hear from her that she'd been lying. Still, after it all, she refused to admit to it.
She thought he wouldn't kill her. Envy had killed girls younger than Winry before. Girls he'd never spoken to--he'd simply been in the mood to kill.
The small homunculus remained nearly motionless for a second, eyes darting to the side to look at the darkening sky. He was tired. Tired of these humans and their empty promises. Tired of trying to fight for something that he should have been given the moment he was born. Of humans who thought they could best him.
In a flash he'd darted forward, falling just short of a foot away from her. There wasn't any need to fight her as he would Ed. The girl couldn't hit back. She wouldn't be able to combat him if her life depended on it. And it did.
"You won't be so defiant without a head, will you?" he purred, his eyes slitting as they flickered up to hers. He was shorter than her. But it was of his own choosing. He preferred being small. Cute. Unassuming. "Should I gut you first? I'll do it slow. We'll have a little anatomy lesson. How long can you stay alive without your heart, girl?"
