So, I know it has been a while since I updated this, it has been CRAZY busy with school the last few weeks of March!!!

Took the Green Jeep in for its oil change & "checkup" and got some bad news :(  The floor is rotted out, in a BIG way.  It almost runs the entire length of the passenger side, the hole... I have been wanting to upgrade the XJ for a while now, and it looks like it is going to start with the floor.  Took me a while, but I have a couple of options.  I have a couple of friends who have "spare" XJ's, who are willing to cut out the floors in them, and give them to me, or after much hunting online, I have found a number of places where I can basically buy a brand new floor for the Cherokee, for a good price.

So... the plan is like this.

Finish exams.
Start working.
Start saving.
Buy Floor pans
Pressure wash the underside of the Jeep.
Drive Jeep to friends house, pull out all the seats, side panels, carpets, cut out old floor, weld in new floor!  Then the real fun begins!
Have purchased, 4 or 5 cans of rubberized undercoating... once the new floor is in, spray that shit! This will help keep my ride quiet, as well as protect it from rust.
Have purchased, some form of roll on or spray on liner, for the interior side of the floor.  This will help make it easier to clean up, as well as prevent moisture from rotting away the floor from the interior side.
Put seats back in, continue to use rubber mats!!
Save some more! Save enough to put in a lift kit, AND new offroading tires.
Save some more!!!  Save enough to buy new seats for the Jeep.  This might even happen before the lift kit, might happen at the same time as the new floor... depending on the pricing :)  The new seats I priced out, don't cost that much so it might be more feasible to put them in when the old ones are already out ;)

Play hard!!!

In the meantime, the Grand Cherokee will be my daily driver, and while I have the ramps borrowed, I am going to take a look at its underside, I may power wash and wire brush it, as well as give it a new coat of undercoating... depends on how it looks we shall see!  :)

Should be fun!
